On the final day of competition at the 3rd IHF Emerging Nations Championship, the tournament’s All-star Team is announced
On the first day of the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations championship, in group A, Azerbaijan beat India 45:29, however on the last day, India defeated Azerbaijan 46:28 and took the 9th place in final rankings of the tournament.
In the most dramatic game, India beat Ireland on penalties 39:38 and tomorrow will meet Azerbaijan for 9-10 places. Ireland will play against Malta for 11th place. The regular time of the match was mainly led by India, but the game ended 32:32.
The team of Great Britain beat Colombia 27:23 and now, on June 15 will play against the first team of group B. The rivals of British will be known after today’s game Georgia vs Bulgaria.
National team of Ireland stood only for 11 minutes against Georgia. During this time they answered every goal of Georgians and the score was 4:4 but then hosts of the tournament scored fifth, sixth and with the support of home crowd increased their lead.
China beat India 40:29 and like Great Britain has 4 points. Thus, the most important match to get to the semifinals may be China vs UK on June 12. The leader of group A is Cuba with 6 points.
