Bulgaria won Bronze

In the game for the third place, Bulgaria easily seized the initiative and by the sixth minute had already led 6:2. Then the gap increased gradually and reached 6.7,8.9 goals, after which the first half ended 26:17.

After the break, nothing changed. The British could not oppose the Bulgarians and the game ended 47:31.

Bulgarians became bronze medalists, Great Britain is the fourth.

Among players of Bulgarian team, the best player was Georgi Atanasov (RW) and among British Joshua Da Silva (RB).

Nikola Karastoyanov, Coach of Bulgaria: As we saw yesterday it was a very close match with Cuba and the fortune wasn’t on our side, but today my team was very concentrated, I think we have shown today that we diserve more. We will keep developing our players and getting better and better to play harder and more important games.

Ricardo Vasconcelos, Coach of the Great Britain: Overall we achieved something that wasn’t achieved by us before, we’d like to end on a different note then we did today. I think today we payed the fact that we were tired and we don’t have experience in that stage of a competition this level.
