Convincing Victory

In Group B experimental line up of Georgian National Team easily beat Malta. In the first half the game was better balanced. The score was 16:7. After the break the hosts of the tournament rised tempo and with the help of fast break outs reached the difference of 26 goals 38:13.

The best players were Jacques Seifret (LW, Malta) and Nikoloz Kalandadze (CB, Georgia).

Thus Geeorgia won the second game of two and became the leaders of Group B.

Nikola Maksimovic, Head Coach of Georgia: The main reason we won is that Malta is not a team of our level, but I’m satisfied with guys that played today. I changed the line up little bit and gave rest to our experienced players.

Joseph Attard, Coach of Malta: Georgia is better then us. They are as strong as Bulgaria. I’m very happy with the first half. We tried to give our best in the second, we were confident and tried to play fast like Georgia but we started to lose ball.
