First victory of Britain

On the second day of the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship, in Group A the last match was Great Britain vs India. This was the game of the teams who lost their first matches. Britain Won 38:28. The advantage of Europeans turned out right from the start but indians played well enough for not to lose with bigger difference.

The man of the match from India was centre back Happy and the best among British was a goalkeeper Owen Insou.

Owen Insou: I’m satisfied because we had victory in the end, but in all honestly we all know we could have done better. We played a game that wasn’t ours. We should keep work on everything. I would rate today’s game with 6.

Sindhu Shivaji, Coach of India: I’m satisfied with my players. they played well. We don’t have enough experience to play at this level. Our best players are practicing out of Indiabecause we don’t have conditions to practice together. Of course we will play next matches for win and it will be big experience for the future.
