No Semifinalists yet in Group B

Bulgaria beat Ireland 37:22 and has maximum amount of points but group B is still open. Semi-finalists are not known yet. Everything depends on game Georgia vs USA.

I Georgia wins then Georgia and Bulgaria will decide who is the winner of group B tomorrow, in the match between them i.e. who will get rid of Cuba in semis.

Men of the match from both teams were centre backs. Bulgarian Branimir Balchev and from irish Konstantinos Thompson.

Roman Abramenko, Coach of Ireland:We have 11 players, no substitutions, if somebody can’t play 60 minutes it’s not a high level, so obviously if somebody misses a goal in the attack, most often it’s a physicall condition. Nobody’s made out of iron on our team, but objectively, my colegue has done a wonderful job (Bulgarian coach), we were proud to play against them. I’m honnored by my boys for not collapsing and fighting till the end, I obviously am very upset about loosing, if we played games 20 minutes long, we would be fighting for the gold, yes, I love them and I am very gratefull for them, yes I am very upset about the score.

Nikola Karastoyanov, Coach of Bulgaria: We have played very good 4 games, except for the first half today, we have played our weakest game today, congratulations to the irish team because they gave all they could in the first half, but we took control over the game, we won and I think we deserved it.
