The first draw
The first draw at the IHF Men’s Emerging Nations Championship was in the match of Group B Ireland vs Nigeria: 31:31. Nigeria was a little unlucky. On the first day they played against the host of the tournament, Georgia and the other day their rivals were Ireland, the only team who has a group of noisy fans.
Nigeria led during the whole game. Ireland managed to equal the score only three times an the third was final, on the 28th minute.
The man of the match from Nigeria was Obina Ani (LB) and from Ireland Joshua Krohn Grace (LB)
Abremenko Roman (Ireland Head Coach): Our team has everything but not boring. I want to thank my guys, because of giving what they can. It was very good match, today they played wisely. Very good quality, actually no one expected from us and we were absolutely lucky to cover this three goal difference, that we did it in last 5 minutes. I am very much optimistic.
Yola Solomon Martins (Nigeria Head Coach): I am not almost satisfied. We gave too much, but, it was not enough to win. Actually it was a great match, we could win, but it is a great experience for us, so we are ready for the next matches.
